The "urgent need to expand the promise of education in America"

Last night President Obama made a very direct reference to the need to reform education, develop innovative programs and "ensure that every child has access to a complete and competitive education". His mention of the U.S. having one of the highest dropout rates among industrialized nations, and his call for education as a key to being competitive in a global economy are key imperatives that drive us here at The American Academy.
I applaud the administration's call for education reform, and look forward to our school and our solution being a part of the bigger drive to improve the lives of our citizens through education.
