Student Programs
Many schools want to know how to prevent students from dropping out and help return them to classes if they do. Graduation Alliance was established in 2007 with the vision to become the leading online educational services partner for every public high school dropout prevention program throughout the U.S.
In addition to providing online and alternative educational services to high schools, Graduation Alliance operates an accredited, private, online high school, called The American Academy (TAA), that serves high school age and adult students worldwide who want to supplement their high school education and/or earn a full high school diploma.
Through its unique School-as-a-Service™ platform, Graduation Alliance gives:
- Students an opportunity to choose from a robust online course catalog, supported by state-licensed teachers and access to tutoring 24/7.
- High Schools an innovative program for dropout recovery and prevention, as well as offering additional courses for credit recovery or curriculum expansion.
- Teachers the ability to teach, develop content, tutor and perform community outreach to promote online learning.
We offer courses on demand to schools that are looking to decrease high school dropout rates and would like to offer supplemental courses to their students, in addition to their comprehensive program. This can include credit recovery or credit enhancement. Students and staff access the program for high school dropouts through a unique school account portal.
The school account portal allows authorized school Administrators to monitor the program, which includes the enrollments, registrations and synchronous progress of students in the program as a whole, as well as for individuals. This school portal will also allow us to customize and configure proactive alerts and notifications delivered via email concerning student activity and progress throughout their courses.
All courses include any necessary materials.

We work hard to ensure that the websites to which we direct our students are the most relevant, resource-rich locations for information related to their courses. We have compiled a list of sites that should be authorized for students to access through your Internet security filters, which can be downloaded here:

IS SCHOOL-AS-A-SERVICE SOFTWARE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR?
No, it's a software service - you pay for what you need, for as long as you need it. We handle maintaining the system infrastructure as well as the applications and integration between systems. Our model is built upon a "Software-as-a-Service" design - you can find a good explanation of it here.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY DATA?
Graduation Alliance is dedicated to giving you open access to your data, while also maintaining strict standards for privacy. As a SaaS customer, you can get access to your data via various Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) as well as by requesting data extracts or engaging with us to build custom interfaces with your other systems.
WHAT LEVEL OF ADMINISTRATION IS REQUIRED OF THE SCHOOL?
This depends on the level of service your school signs up for. At a bare minimum, if you provide us with a student's name and email address - we'll do the rest.
DO YOU PARTNER WITH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS?
At this time we are currently not partnering with any schools outside of the United States. Thank you.
